About the event

Come hear from Dr Melanie Kuan from Thomson Hospital Kota Damansara on how to detect and manage living with PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome). PCOS is a condition in which the ovaries produce an abnormal amount of androgens (male sex hormones) that are usually present in women in small amounts.

Living with PCOS can be stressful and difficult. Weight gain, irregular menstrual periods, hair growth, and acne are some of the physical symptoms of PCOS. Women with the condition may also be at higher risk for type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, heart problems, and endometrial cancer. Infertility could also be something they face as well.
